The feature was first added to Railworks 3/Train Simulator 2012, with the first DLC route using it being the Horseshoe Curve. It's a form of added realism (to me at least). In case of Train Simulator 2017: track cant tilts your train left/right when traversing curves. This is normally greater where the railway is curved raising the outer rail providing a banked turn, thus allowing vehicles to maneuver through the curve at higher speeds than would otherwise be possible if the surface is flat or level. For those who don't know what I'm talking about: The cant of a railway track is the rate of change in elevation (height) between the two rails or edges. I've decided to make a list of routes with cant/superelevation.
